Junbi Sogi (준비 서기) is the preparatory stance adopted before beginning an exercise, movement, tul, or sparrin. It allows you to focus, stabilize your body, and be ready to act.
It is important to be attentive, calm, and available in this position, mentally and physically preparing yourself for the action that will follow.
Stance rules :
- The feet are shoulder-width apart and parallel.
- The legs are slightly bent to maintain flexibility and stability.
- The hands are placed in front of the lower abdomen, about 2 inches apart.
- The elbows are relaxed and naturally directed downward.
- The gaze is directed straight ahead, with concentration.
