Sonkal Kaunde Yop Taerigi (손칼 가운데 옆 때리기) is an attack executed with the knifehand at mid-level. This technique is used to strike the opponent’s neck or temple with speed and precision.
It requires good coordination between body rotation, stability of position, and arm relaxation to produce a clean and effective strike.
Stance rules :
The technique is generally performed in niunja sogi (L-stance), ensuring balance and control.
The arm strikes at medium height and ends up almost straight.
The opposite hand is at hip level.
The movement is accompanied by a rotation of the hips and shoulders to increase power.
The gaze is directed toward the target, with concentration.
