Shieo (쉬어) is the resting position adopted on the instructor’s orders to allow practitioners to relax while remaining alert. It marks a pause between two exercises, without completely breaking the discipline of the class.
Even in this position, it is important to remain calm, silent, and ready to quickly resume the correct posture when the instructor gives a new command.
Stance rules :
- The feet are shoulder-width apart and parallel.
- The body weight is distributed evenly across both legs.
- The hands are placed behind the back.
- The shoulders are relaxed and the posture remains upright.
- Keep your eyes focused ahead or on the instructor, remaining attentive.
